The shape of the nose and the chin bother me the most.

I really like this. It's quite good. I suggest you dont change it, even though I'm going to give suggestions. Maybe you should curve the neck slightly. At that line it's kinda stiff. It makes the sharpness of the chin stand out. And if you put curve after the tip of the nose it'll help too. You said you didn't like them or I would not have said anything.

Onto things I do like: I love the darkness of it. I honestly thought you had used charcoal when I looked at it annd was suprised it was graphite. As usuall your shading is amazing.

Thank you very much for the advice. Really some helpful tips I wouldn't come across myself.

I used charcoal on another picture and I was surprised that it wasn't as dark as I hoped. Wonder why. I should try it again though...

this looks really good. i can never get my dark areas to go that dark. this looks amazing with the contrast of light and dark. I actually love the shape of the nose and im rather jealous of it. i think it is just the black like you have going from the nose to the lip. I think if it weren't there, and there was more just a shadow there i dont think you would have a problem with the lips or nose. just sayin =D

Oh, you're right! The black line IS a little odd... But I wasn't sure about the darkness of the shadow below the nose. I erased it many times because I didn't understand how it would look better.
The face looks a little darker and a there's a bit less contrast on paper when you look at it in real life though... as cameras and scanners often change the colour and... things. =P
I think the nose is rather long. It's almost not human... should have changed it while I still could. =P

it might look a bit long just because you cant see her eyes and above on her cheeks. Maybe where the top part of the nose, where it makes a corner with the hood, maybe if you seen just the bottom part of the eye lid on that side of the face just peeking from behind the nose there it might make the nose look a tad bit shorter. but you already have this drawn and i know how fusturating it is to change things lol. Still though i really do like this. I dont think there should be too much shadow beneath the nose just cause of the light source , so maybe if the black line was gone :p
And yes got to love scanners lol some times i wish i could stab mine :p
And no problem, i just wanted to let you know why i liked it and what could say to maybe help :D :)

It just looks a bit different from the reference photo I used.
I'm trying my best to make my drawings look as close as possible to the photo... but it's just too damn hard. I guess there's probably something wrong with my eyes or hands that I can't draw it like I see it or something. :D

lol i think thats where we part. i havn't seen the picture. Sorry lol =P I do understand though. I make drawings, people are like ooo, im think nooo its soooo off lol. and no problem. draw some more :D

oh i see now. ok maybe the nose is a bit long. but you did really good cause i can soo see the picture in your drawing now. Im sticking with the line thing needing to be removed, and agree with you on the nose =P but overall, nicely done job :D
